I remember when I was 14 my grandmother (my dad’s mom) would always talk to me about how great it was when she heard Martin Luther King Jr. speak. She would say “No man could move a crowd or inspire a community like he did.” I have to admit that I never quite understood what she meant or how she felt until now. I remember when President Elect- Obama announced that he was running for the presidency. I remember how shocked everyone was that he was running because of his “lack of experience.” I am no political mastermind but his message to me was more than just change, for the first time I felt like here was a man saying; “Hey, I don’t have all the answers and I can’t guarantee that my plans will go how I plan, but I will be the best president I can be.” I appreciated and moreover I embraced the honesty and the truth within his words.
When Barak Obama received the democratic nomination I ran out to register to vote, not because he would end up being the first African-American president but because I knew that this was a man that could change our country.
While I was standing in line at my polling location (totally freezing) I realized that what I was about to do was about more than just me, it was about my children, and my grandchildren, and my great grandchildren. I realized that my vote was about how I wanted to live, and how I wanted to be governed, my vote was about the millions of women that fought for me to be able to vote. My vote was about millions of African-American’s that stood up to injustice and sacrificed their lives, their families lives and their freedoms so that I could one day live in a community they could not and so that I could one day be heard when they were silenced. My vote was about standing up and being heard. I will NEVER, EVER not vote. I will make sure that WHATEVER the election I will be heard.
If you are not registered to vote; PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU REGISTER AND VOTE! If you ever think that your vote doesn’t count just remember that once upon a time many of us had no choice and we were silenced. To not vote is to disregard the fight that was fought long before many us were born. I WILL NOT BE SILENCED!
I have to send my congratulations to Barak Obama, Michelle Obama and the entire first family. I have to admit that I take deep pride in knowing that our soon to be President of the United States is of mixed ethnic background (that being African- American and Caucasian) and that the we now have someone in the White House that understands and has heard those voices that have gone unheard for so long. There are something’s that you think you will never see happen in your lifetime but once you do it is so surreal. YES WE CAN! AND YES WE DID!
Hope, History & Change.

SHADOWORLD IS THE MOVEMENT!!! WE ARE THE FUTURE…
Hey everyone! So, I have not had an opportunity to check in with you all and say HEY. God, this year has been so busy, I mean it started off busy and still continues to be such an incredible year. I am so blessed. I know I should be writing these Blog entries more, but its just lil ole me and there is only so much time in a day. My label works me to death reworking my album but I am not complaining because I do not know another label that would allow me the time and financial freedom to really make my first album something classic and what we all feel will be commercially successful. J So YAY Shadoworld. YAY ME. Hooray to us all. S-WORLD BABY!!!
Before I get started I just wanted to express my deepest thanks and to all of my Myspace and HI5.com friends that leave me such encouraging comments and notes of support. I do not get a chance to reply to all of you, but I do read them and I seriously am touched by your support. It really keeps me inspired to keep moving forward. I can not wait for you all to start hearing this new music from my album.
Speaking of which, I hosted my first event a few weeks back. I believe Friday June 27th was the date if I am not mistaken; the event was for the G-Unit Records album release of Terminate on Sight. So, I won’t give you the blow by blow details, but let’s just say we here at Shadoworld never disappoint and this party was OFF THE HOOK. G-Unit/ 50 Cent’s DJ, DJ Whoo Kid hosted with me along with the 2008 Chiva Girls; a bunch of great young ladies. Go Chivas! We had some issues with the folks getting into the venue, but all in all it was just so much fun. I really was super excited to meet so many of you. I don’t even have an album out yet, let alone a single, but this viral stuff really proved something to me that night because I had a bunch of people make it past my security to introduce themselves to me and ask for a picture and words can not describe how that made me feel inside. It was really an incredible feeling to be in the heart of
Well that is about it from me. Just wanted to tell all of you what I’ve been up to. I am still alive and kicking. Working everyday towards final song selection on “Theory 74 A” and just getting that together, hitting the gym everyday and just doing me.
Anyway, back to work. Again, thank you to all of you that came out to support me at the first event I have ever hosted. You all rock, all the best. God bless and until next time.
XOXOXOXO— A

Theory 74 A, is the highly anticipated freshmen LP debut from Shadoworld Records recording artist Ahrae. Not only is this the first release from the newcomer, this is the initial first offering from Shadoworld Records, Inc. Theory 74 A is completely written and arranged by Ahrae and all production duties come from Ahrae’s label mate Tiec Tocc (Shadoworld VP of A&R), with the exception of two songs which are produced by Steve “The E†Ross founder of the Neo-Soul, Los Angeles based group Be Natural, and executive produced by KAGE for Shadoworld Records, Inc.
Theory 74 A is a Pop infused, fun, energetic, sexy, soulful and eclectic vision and representation of Ahrae which gives us a glimpse into her life and creative process. As she moves from song to song throughout the track list, listeners will find themselves face to face with a first hand look into her emotional journey. Theory 74 A explores the highs and lows of being a young girl, coping with matters of the heart, the fizzling relationship between that of a daughter and father, wild days, lonely nights, broken hearts and out right party music that does the body good (she’s gonna make you sweat).
Theory 74 A is the best and most heartfelt presentation to date of a young girl’s journey through life, love, and pain. There is no doubt that both men and women alike will both gravitate, and relate to Ahrae’s candor in matters of life, love, good times and bad. Theory 74 A will deliver a raw and uncut lane, that will solidify Ahrae’s first step down the road to Pop royalty. No fluff, no fillers, Theory 74 A will be nothing short of a Pop music classic and must have for fans around the world craving the next evolution of Pop music. Shadoworld Records is proud to present Ahrae, as she humbly delivers Theory 74 A. Some things are just worth the wait.

Hey everyone! It’s been a little while since my last blog. I know it’s no excuse but I’ve just been sooooooooooooooooo busy!
February 9th, a day before the Grammy’s, I was able to attend the “HOW I WROTE THAT SONG” panel presented by BMI and The Los Angeles Times. This was an amazing experience. I was able to listen to some of the greatest and most respected producers/song writers of today. These panelists included Rodney Jerkins (The Boy Is Mine performed by Brandy and Monica, You Rock My World performed by Michael Jackson), Anthony Hamilton (Charlene), and Ben Moody (My Immortal performed by Evanescence, Because Of You performed by Kelly Clarkson). A highlight of this event was definitely hearing Anthony Hamilton perform the song Charlene live. Without a doubt, he embodies true soul music. I also got to hear first hand how these songwriters come up with their concepts and creativity. Some songs take five minutes and others take five years! It was completely encouraging to know that I am not the only one who suffers from writers block from time to time. It was both touching and bittersweet to hear the stories of struggle and sacrifice that many of these writers/artists went through to get to where they are. I definitely walked away knowing that everything comes at a price. The greater the sacrifice, the greater the reward!
On another note, my Sunday evening (February 10th) was spent watching the Pre-Grammy show followed by the 50th Annual Grammy Awards. How exciting was that! Everyone looked amazing coming down the red carpet. Some of my favorite moments that evening included the Rhianna/Tyme performance, Tina Turner and Beyonce sharing the stage together, and the Beatles tribute performed to the song Let It Be. I can’t lie… I was so happy to see that Alicia Keys won for best R&B vocal. And to Rhianna… you killed it! All in all, it was an incredible night and I look forward to seeing them all very soon.
I get a rush knowing that one day in the near future I will get to grace that very Grammy stage with many of my own idols, peers, and fans watching.
Well, that about sums it up. I’ll talk to you guys soon, I promise!

Hey everyone, it’s your girl Ahrae! Thank you so much for stopping by to check in and see what’s new.
As many of you probably already know the title of my freshman LP has been changed from “The Scarlet Letter” to “Theory 74: A.” Although The Scarlet Letter reflects an incredible musical journey, the project was ultimately scrapped because we were not able to obtain clearances for samples and collaborations.
Electing to change the album’s official title could not have come at a better time! I am in an amazing space professionally, and I have had an incredible opportunity to grow artistically as well as vocally. Theory 74: A is better! Plain and simple. It’s a fun, fresh sound that shows my growth as an artist. I am confident now, more than ever, that Theory 74: A was destined to be my first release. I can’t wait! I’m so excited! I’m counting down the days!
Hope everyone is having a great new year! I know I am! I look forward to sharing my musical journey with you.
Kisses

THIS IS NOT THE ALBUM COVER, I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS COOL!!!

Hey everyone! It’s your girl Ahrae. I had a few minutes between recording sessions to check my MySpace messages and E-mails. I first and foremost wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone for their continued support and heartfelt messages. I’m so sorry that I’m not able to respond to everyone’s messages. I’m just very, very busy!
On another note, I was surfing the web and came across a random article where they were talking about how Janet Jackson’s latest single, Feedback, has failed to make headway on the charts. You know, this really upsets me. Janet Jackson is a musical icon. A GENIUS! At this point in her career, record sales and chart topping singles are just the icing on the cake. You show me one other artist that can sustain the type of career and success, and endure the media spotlight as though she has for all these years. It just frustrates me that an artist of Janet Jackson’s caliber still gets haggled over what the media sees
as poor chart topping singles.
Anyhow, I just wanted to stop by and share my thoughts with you guys. I hope everyone is having a fantastic new year. I can’t wait for summer! Talk to you all soon. Love you all.
